Website design and development

New sites

Our preference, as a design company, is to create new websites for our clients. Web design has changed (dynamically) in the past 10-years. A site that was created in the year 2003, or prior to that, will probably lack most of the key advances in design technique. Starting something new, and fresh, is sometimes the best choice.

After meeting with the client to discover goals and objectives, team members will create a scope of work (SOW) which describes all the important steps toward achieving the final result, a website you value and a website that does just what you want it to. Included in the SOW will be our deadline (date) to you in completing the website and a fixed price [see pricing ].

Existing sites

Clients with an existing web site, looking to refactor or refresh, are also welcome. After meeting with the client to discover goals and objectives, an assessment is conducted by us in order to determine the status of an existing site. This assessment is based on whether, or not, your site was constructed using industry standard design protocols [see Accessibility, valid code, W3C]. In most cases, our team will be able to work with you to improve your site. In those cases where we are not able to work with an existing site, we will tell you in advance of any contract, and for what reasons.

Content Managed Sites

In website parlance, a Content Management System (CMS), is a web application that makes it possible for non-designers to edit, update and publish content to a web site. In today’s world, many websites are also CMSs. One advantage to having a CMS-based web site is that updates to information may be done by YOU, and since updates are inevitable, it makes good sense to build CMS capabilities into the design of your website, rather than rely on the continued services of a designer for updates.
